So just how can you improve on the first all American sports car made of fiberglass in 1953 as a concept cars by General Motors and Chevrolet?
A company called Advanced Automotive Technologies did just that starting in 2003 and continues today. To date Advanced Automotive Technologies have made over 150 1953-2003 Commemorative Edition Corvettes.
The 1953-2003 Commemorative Edition Corvettes combines the retro styling of the original 1953 Corvette with the modern power and comforts of today's Corvette. See images of this cool Corvette below.
Yellow 1953-2003 Commemorative Edition Corvettes
These beautiful 1953-2003 Commemorative Edition Corvettes are built based on a customer provided Chevrolet Corvette C5 convertible. All new body panels are installed by Advanced Automotive Technologies using the same attachment locations as production panels. With these 1953-2003 Commemorative Edition Corvettes there are no structural modifications and all safety related items remain intact.
Red 1953-2003 Commemorative Edition Corvettes
A new red and white interior takes the place of whatever interior the donor C5 has and chrome 5-spoke wheels replace the existing wheels. Even the brake calipers are painted in a matching red.
